IMPORTANT NOTICE: Following the Commission's action at its Spring 2003 meeting to place the program on probation, the International Institute of Chinese Medicine (IICM) decided to close and has developed a teach out agreement and program with the Southwest Acupuncture College to enable affected IICM students to complete their training.

As of April 30, 2012, neither the institution nor the Oriental medicine program hold any preaccreditation (Candidacy) or accreditation status with ACAOM.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: The Maryland Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine's (MITCM) accreditation status was withdrawn effective November 18, 2002 and the program ceased its operations at the end of the Fall 2002 Semester. The program has entered into a teach out agreement with the Tai Sophia Institute ( Laurel , MD ) where MITCM students are completing their training.
