ACCREDITATION ACTIONS - AUGUST 2010

In accordance with ACAOM’s responsibilities under US Department of Education regulations, the
following is the public notification of the actions on candidacy and accreditation reviews for Masters
programs during the August 2010 meeting of the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and
Oriental Medicine.

MASTER’S PROGRAM REVIEWS
Candidacy Actions:
Stanton University (grant initial candidacy)
Initial Accreditation Actions:
Wu Hsing Tao (defer action on initial accreditation for six months)

Accreditation Actions:
Academy of Oriental Medicine at Austin, Austin, TX (grant reaccreditation for 7 years)
Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine College, Berkeley, CA (defer action on reaccreditation for 6 months)
Asian Institute of Medical Studies, Tucson, AZ (extend accreditation through administrative action for one year)
Atlantic Institute of Oriental Medicine (grant reaccreditation for 6 years)
Southwest Acupuncture College, Sante Fe, NM (grant reaccreditation for 7 years)
Yo San University, Los Angeles, CA (grant reaccreditation for 7 years)
